Sheffield

One of our Sheffield projects working closely with a local architect this project consisted of-

  • check existing footings

  • strip existing flat roof

  • install floor joists

  • use reclaimed bricks to match front elevation and existing detail

  • block and render to wallplate height to match existing

  • strip the side elevation roof and install new roof timbers to the extension.

  • reuse removed roof slates for the front elevation to ensure a match.

  • removal of existing gable, install steelwork and provide extra space to the 1st floor bedrooms.

All works to the extension were completed and prepared, the customer and family took a 1 week holiday to enable us to remove the internal wall, 1st fix, and plaster so when they returned it was minimal disruption.

Structural Alterations

Here at Mitton & Dixon we have vast experience in structural alterations to existing properties, here are just a few examples.

Worksop.

recommended by a past customer, the client selected Mitton & Dixon to carry out the below work.

  • organize structual calculations and building regulations

  • block up internal doorway

  • block and brick to existing back door

  • remove internal wall and install specified steel beam and windpost to engineers specification

  • rewire and replumb to the new kitchen area

  • full replaster and install kitchen

    the result a complete transformation for our client creating more space in the new kitchen area perfect for entertaining and sharing those special family moments.

Rotherham.

From the very start we knew this alteration would vastly improve the current space.

  • organize an engineer to asses the current walls load bearing capacity

  • remove two non load bearing internal walls

  • rewire and replumb to the new kitchen area, new fuse board and all testing.

  • install new PVC doors

  • full replaster, decoration and install kitchen

Lincoln

Change of use from a commercial unit in the Lincolnshire countryside to a stunning, modern family home.

  • full strip off of existing cladding and steelwork roof structure.

  • new blockwork to tie into existing steels finished with metal cladding to suit planning requirements

  • all services installed (electric and water)

  • trussed and traditional roof installed to create bedroom to 1st floor and vaulted kitchen area

  • underfloor heating throughout

  • full internals fitted, staircase, plaster, electrics, plumbing, joinery and decoration
